May Table Talk 2025

THE NEXT TABLE TALK IS ON THE WAY!

Table Talk is changing things up this time around and will meet on

May 2, 2025 at Badin Presbyterian Church (153 Spruce Street at the corner of Spruce and Falls Road in Badin, NC) in place of April 25, the last Friday of the month. We so hope you will join us for some gracious conversation about Mariann Edgar Budde’s book... HOW WE LEARN TO BE BRAVE: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith.  You do not need to have read the book to attend.

As shared from her book, “The decisive moments in life are those pivot points, when we’re called on to push past our fears and act with strength... [with Bishop Budde’s book] she teaches us how to respond with clarity and grace even in the toughest times. Being brave is not a singular occurrence; it’s a journey that we can choose to undertake every day.” We will spend some time reflecting on Bishop Budde’s wisdom and draw from the wisdom around our tables as we wonder and discern together, “How We Learn to Be Brave” and what we are sensing to embrace now, right where we are.

As this will be our last Table Talk until the Fall, for those who are able to come, Table Talk would like to extend A BRAVE INVITATION... If you’re able, can and want... for our refreshments that morning, please cook or bake something you have always wanted to but were afraid to try. For me, this will be my mother's Lemon Meringue Pie. I've never been brave enough to try making a meringue! What is it for you? And if not refreshments, perhaps you have some new skill, activity, or opportunity you have always wanted to try but didn't think you had it in you, to do so. If you're up for it, please come with your story and anything you've made or done about what you tried. Whether it ”flops or shines” please bring it and the story to go with it to share, with those who come!

The cost of this month's Table Talk is $25 which will all be donated to

Homes of Hope in Albemarle,NC.  Homes of Hope runs the Community Inn overrnight emergency shelter and provides transitional housing for homeless families through a partnership with other local health, human service and faith organnizations throughout Stanly County, NC. However, please don't let the cost of Table Talk keep you from coming. If it's a bit tight this month, please come and simply share in the gracious fellowship of the morning.

If you do plan to come to May's Table Talk, please RSVP Leslee by either texting her at 704-984-0066, or sending her a message on Facebook. Thank you!!

If you're looking for a way to connect, share in some gracious fellowship and gain some support, Serving Tree hopes you'll consider "coming to the table" for some gracious good  Table Talk. Please feel free to call Leslee with any questions at: 704-984-0066

The Table won't be complete without YOU!
